About This Event / イベントについて
Shibuya Hikawa Shrine is the oldest shrine in Shibuya Ward, set in about 4,000 tsubo of woodland a short walk off Meiji-dori. Its September reitaisai is the parish festival for Higashi, Ebisu and Hiroo. For 2026 the Hikawa neighbourhood association lists Bon Odori on the approach from 17:00 on Saturday 12 September, and Sunday 13 September as the main day.
On Sunday, adult mikoshi from Ebisu-area associations start at Shibuya-bashi around 13:30 and process onto the shrine approach (order announced for 2026: Shin'eikai first, then Tango-kai, Wakaba-kai, Hikawa-kai, Hojinkai and Miyamoto Ujiko-kai). Children's mikoshi run in the morning. Food stalls line the sandō; the evening turns into a classic night festival with karaoke on the yagura.
Admission is free. The same Sunday, Shibunan Matsuri at nearby Shibuya Bridge is programmed around the mikoshi. Expect road closures on the approach.

Sunday afternoon is the mikoshi peak around Shibuya-bashi and the sandō.
神輿のピークは日曜午後、渋谷橋〜参道。
The grove is a steep walk from Meiji-dori; there is little parking.
明治通りから坂と階段。駐車場はほぼない。
Saturday 17:00 Bon Odori is the easier slot with children.
子連れなら土曜17時の盆踊りが動きやすい。
Woodberry Coffee faces the first torii if you need a rest.
一の鳥居前にWOODBERRY COFFEEがある。
