The Strait of Fujito -Resurrection-

Giolitti is a historic Italian gelato shop that has been churning out artisan gelato in Rome since 1900, famously featured in Audrey Hepburn's 1953 film Roman Holiday. The Tokyo outpost at Tokyu Plaza Harajuku Harakado brings those same secretly guarded original recipes to Shibuya, offering classics such as pistachio, hazelnut, and dark chocolate alongside Japanese-inspired varieties like yuzu ginger, black sesame, and hojicha. The shop sits on the sixth floor of the stylish Harakado complex, making it a lovely spot to enjoy a scoop with rooftop terrace views. A double serving is recommended so you can pair a traditional Italian flavour with something uniquely Japanese. The gelato is made fresh daily using premium ingredients sourced from both Italy and Japan. Located just a minute's walk from Meiji-jingumae Station and four minutes from JR Harajuku Station, Giolitti is open daily from 11am. On most days it stays open until 10pm, with an earlier closing on Tuesdays. It is an ideal sweet stop after exploring the boutiques of Omotesando and the lanes of Harajuku.
