About This Event / イベントについて
PEACE DAY 2026＠Yoyogi Park occupies the park's event square on Monday 21 September, 11:00–20:00 — Japan's Respect-for-the-Aged holiday and the UN International Day of Peace. Certified NPO PEACE DAY (chair: Takashi Inoue) is staging its eighth outdoor edition after the 2025 Expo Osaka site.
Hosts are Sahar Rose and journalist Jun Hori. Confirmed acts include May J. (20th debut anniversary year), Tarumi Violinists, Tetra Band & Friends, and ZERO FES guests Za SAVAGE and Kaiharu Bro. Visitors make candles and write peace messages during the day; after dark, CANDLE JUNE lights them across the lawn. Sixteen NGOs covering nuclear abolition, refugees, conflict minerals and children's rights exhibit until 18:00.
Admission is free. 17–23 September is also PEACE DAY WEEK, including a 20 September film programme (Human Trust Cinema Shibuya is listed by Tokyo Cheapo as a related screening venue).
