About This Event / イベントについて
The China Festival has grown from a small 2017 cultural exchange into a two-day park event that drew about 200,000 visitors in 2025. The 2026 Tokyo edition occupies Yoyogi Park's event square, outdoor stage and zelkova avenue on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September, 10:00–20:00.
The stated theme is Japan–China cultural exchange and a look at contemporary China. Expect regional food stalls (mapo tofu, xiaolongbao, dumplings, hotpot-style bowls and a mala-tang focus), tea, hanfu and calligraphy workshops, panda photo spots, tourism desks, and a main stage mixing traditional instruments with C-POP. Produce Pandas (Xiong Mao Tang) are booked for Saturday.
Admission is free. Organisers say rain goes ahead; only severe weather cancels. Cash and queues are the practical reality at peak lunch and evening hours.

Arrive before 11:00 on Saturday if you want the opening ceremony.
開会式を見るなら土曜11時前到着。
Bring cash for food stalls; some vendors are card-only.
屋台は現金が無難。カードのみの店もある。
The park is a 10-minute walk from Harajuku or Yoyogi-Koen stations.
原宿駅・代々木公園駅から徒歩約10分。
Same weekend as SHIBUYA SKY rooftop Bon Odori on Saturday evening.
土曜夜は渋谷スカイの天空の盆踊りと同日。
