Batoroko satellite Shibuya Ekimae is a trading card game, or TCG, shop and tournament centre on the 5th floor of MAGNET by SHIBUYA, directly connected to Shibuya Station. The name is a coinage blending 'battle' and 'location', reflecting its concept as a place where players can meet, compete and discover new cards and opponents. The shop stocks a wide range of trading card games, from Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! to Magic: The Gathering and beyond, with booster packs, deck boxes and sleeves lined up alongside single cards for competitive players building specific strategies. Regular tournaments and card lottery events draw a steady stream of players, and the atmosphere is welcoming to newcomers as well as seasoned competitors. Batoroko is open from 10:00 to 21:00 every day and is tax-free for overseas visitors.
