The Matcha Tokyo is a dedicated matcha cafe that sources its tea from Rainforest Alliance-certified organic fields, priding itself on offering 100% organic matcha in a variety of preparations. The menu ranges from straightforward matcha teas with varying levels of intensity and bitterness to richer treats such as matcha lattes, frozen matcha drinks and matcha ice cream, with plant-based milk alternatives available for those who prefer them.The Miyashita Park branch is located on the second floor of the South building, providing a calm, airy setting that feels a world away from the streets below. The cafe is open daily from 11:00 to 21:00, with last orders at 20:45. It is a short walk from Shibuya Station and also accessible from Meiji-jingumae Station, making it a convenient stop whilst exploring the Miyashita Park complex.

I love matcha but sometimes I feel like the taste is a bit overpowering and bitter. At this place where they have organic matcha, they have a smoothie that is match with banana. I really liked it as it still has that very pronounced delicious matcha but balanced with the sweetness of banana. A must try!

The latter and the hot matcha were amazing. I would highly recommend the iced matcha latte. The flavor was really great, the matcha was not bitter at all and you could fully taste the flavor (opposed to just the milk like many other places).

I got the coconut matcha float and am blown away by the combo. The sweet coconut ice cream is to die for it’s got little chunks of coconut in it that goes really nicely with the matcha. Matcha has a clean taste, slightly grassy but not the most flavorful. Unsure about other drinks but the coconut float wins.
